Specifications of BUNA Diaphragms (NBR) |
Nitrile rubber is the definition for an unsaturated rubber type group, based on compounds of acrylonitrile and butadiene polymers.
The specifications of NBR vulcanized materials depend on the content of acrylonitrile in the nitrile rubber used and on the quantity of plasticizer.
With proper additives they withstand petrol, mineral oils and greases but they badly withstand aging, if exposed to UV rays.
In wet environments resistance to aging notably increases. They are used in components requiring those conditions, such as seals, diaphragms, cylinders covers etc.
Main benefits:
> Mean mechanical strength
> Good resistance to oils
> Good wear resistance
> Good heat resistance
